PERSONNEL
All
security personnel of Operation Protective Services-OPS in California,
are certified and registered with the State of California, Department
Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). When a new applicant
is interested in employment with Operation Protective Services-OPS,
the applicant must present an issued California security registration
card. The California security registration is verified by confirmation
from BSIS. This procedure ensures that the BSIS has completed a criminal
background check on each new applicant/employee.
New applicants
are required to prepare a standard OPS application, as well as other
documentation. Candidates are advised
to bring the following detailed information such as; a CA/SS identification
for meeting Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) requirements
for proof of employment eligibility (i.e., material for Form I-9), drug
and substance form, educational diplomas, security certifications, and
other documentation that will assist OPS in evaluating their application.
Once
the application is completed, the Director of Operations reviews it.
Upon completion of reference and background checks, only the most qualified
applicants are scheduled for an interview. Questions including those
dealing with convictions, employment history, or character references
during the interview, the candidate's grooming, personal appearance,
and verbal skills are evaluated.
In
addition to evaluating the candidate with respect to rejection and acceptance
criteria, the Director of Operations will evaluate such intrinsic factors
as responsible actions, self-discipline, honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness.
These factors will also be considered when evaluating those applicants
who are finally accepted for employment with Operation Protective Services-OPS.

on serving the client and the community, and the organizational policy
and procedural manual. We also provide training in non-physical assertiveness
where needed. OPS officers are well trained to provide you with the
